Oliver C. Chu

“Oliver's journey into healing arts began in 1982. He received extensive apprenticeship training in the States, Hong Kong, and Beijing under several reputable physicians, esoteric healers of Eastern medicine, and venerable masters of martial arts since childhood. Oliver is a board-licensed acupuncturist, former professor of Traumatology for the Academy of Chinese Culture & Health Science, and former instructor of Advanced Asian Bodywork at the San Francisco School of Massage. He also served as a clinical intern and mentored at various facilities including American Institute of Acupuncture Orthopedics & Traumatology, California Pacific Medical Center, and Yueyang Hospital of Integrative Medicine in Shanghai.

On September 12th, 2005, Oliver was one of the original Common Ground Collective 'street-medics' and first acupuncturist to aid trauma survivors who suffered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. He holds a graduate, post-graduate (TCM orthopedics), and clinical doctorate in Oriental medicine.

Oliver is part of a citywide community wellness program where Taiji Quan and Qi Gong classes are offered. As a practicing Daoist and direct lineage holder of the Pre-celestial Way, Oliver feels the key to REAL health is finding the TRUEST path to live our lives.”
