“Lisa"s patient-centered approach focuses on assisting the body"s innate healing process, while educating clients and providing skills for them to actively strengthen and maintain their health. In addition to practicing acupuncture, Lisa has a strong interest in alternative medicine research. She works part-time at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on a clinical research study investigating the beneficial effects of Tai Chi on Chronic Heart Failure.
She is also an acupuncturist on an NIH (National Institutes of Health) funded clinical trial on Acupuncture and Irritable Bowel Syndrome being conducted by Harvard Medical School. Lisa is interested in advancing the field of acupuncture through biomedical research to encourage understanding and communication between all healthcare practitioners.
She holds a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, WA. She holds a diploma in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is also a graduate of the University of Rochester with a BA in Psychology.”
