“As an internist and medical acupuncturist, I treat a broad range of issues. Medical acupuncture can be used to promote health and well being, prevent illness and treat various medical conditions. While acupuncture is often associated with pain control, it has much broader applications such as the treatment of digestive, respiratory and menstrual, reproductive problems.
My areas of interest include integrative medicine; bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, an alternative to conventional synthetic hormone replacement therapy; prolotherapy, an injection therapy for treating chronic pain; medical acupuncture; nutritional counseling and supplementation; and NAET, a non-medical method of reducing allergies and sensitivities.
I am board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and have been a primary care provider since 1990. I finished my Medical Acupuncture training in 1997 and presently serve as the preceptor in charge of the UCLA/HMI Medical Acupuncture course for physicians.”
