“My practice is primarily pain management and stress management, with a focus on neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. I've also had good success treating folks with headaches, tendonitis, and repetitive stress injuries. In 1996-7 I received post-graduate training in Pediatric Acupuncture from Julian Scott and Teresa Barlow, and since then I have incorpoated the treatment of children into my regular practice. Children respond really well to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), particularly those with asthma, recurrent cough, headaches, insomnia, and hyperactivity.
I take a common-sense approach to treatment and I like to explain what I'm doing in a way that is clear and easily understood. I spend one hour with each patient, and I treat only one person at a time.
I use a combination of gentleness, kindness, and good humor to guide the patient's interview to the root of the problem. I prefer to craft sophisticated, individualized treatments by combining Traditional Chinese Medicine theory with classical Five Element Acupuncture. My practice, Neighborhood Acupuncture, is warm, comfortable, and relaxing.”
