“I graduated from The Traditional Acupuncture Institute in 1990. I practice holistic healthcare and functional medicine through the use acupuncture, acupressure, herbal therapy, nutritional counseling and Toyohari. Since 2002, I have been practicing Toyohari, a style of Japanese acupuncture in which the needles are NOT inserted. Instead, they rest gently on the skin while the healing process takes place. This provides a painless therapy which is quite effective in managing pain and other chronic conditions. The first treatment will last 1 to 2 hours. Subsequent treatments will last about an hour.
I specialize in the treatment of chronic problems such as chronic pain, PMS, menopausal symptoms, stress, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, infertility, hay fever, emotional problems, weight management and more. These are all treated with an emphasis on nutrition and lifestyle counseling.
Toyohari is a new style of acupuncture that was developed by blind acupuncturists in Japan over the last 60 years. It differs from all other styles of acupuncture in that practitioners are trained in a sophisticated needling style, known as non-insertion needling, that maximizes healing energies and patient comfort.”
