“I am a physician specializing in acupuncture treatment since 1974, and was active in founding the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. I also served on the CA State Acupuncture Board for many years. I am the author of "In the Footsteps of the Yellow Emperor" on the history of acupuncture. My approach to treatment is based on teachings from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, European and American mentors. I consider it to be traditional in style, and client centered in terms of goals. I am a graduate of the College of Traditional Acupuncture, which emphasizes the Five Element style.
As a General Practitioner, I treat people with all types of problems, including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Classically, Oriental medicine does not consider these isolated problems, but is holistic in its approach. My extensive training in Korean acupuncture is rather unique among American practitioners.
I am one of only two Americans to have been fortunate to have studied with Dowon Kuon, the founder of Korean Constitutional Acupuncture in Seoul. I also have extensive training with Tae Woo Yoo, founder of Korean Hand Acupuncture, and I edited the English version of his textbook.”
