“It is my belief and my experience that physical health and emotional well-being go hand in hand. When we are ill, the spirit suffers, and when we feel emotionally unbalanced, there may be physical symptoms as well. My Chinese medicine practice includes the use of acupuncture, herbs, essential oils, and other therapies to treat an array of acute and chronic conditions. It is my intention to create treatments that are customized to the individual seeking treatment, making each treatment as effective as possible and taking into account both the physical and emotional aspects of illness.
Before starting my career in acupuncture, I worked in psychiatry, developing medications for anxiety and depression. It was during this time that I realized how intimately physical health and mental wellness are connected. Acupuncture is the perfect way to address both - my experience in psychiatry informs my practice of acupuncture.
