“Near the end of my Bachelor's degree I decided to pursue Chinese Medicine instead of traditional Western medicine because it was the medicine that worked for me. Pain is the most common issue I treat , from knees and necks to headaches and cramps. I use my Western medical background to enhance my skills in internal medicine. I prescribe nutritional guidelines and Chinese herbs, which are both safe and effective when prescribed with care. Although I appreciate other styles of treatment I choose to concentrate only on Chinese medicine, as there is always an opportunity to become a better practitioner.
I truly enjoy working with women's health and fertility issues. Menopausal symptoms, PMS, and gynecological disease are very responsive to TCM. Headaches, allergies, and digestive problems are very interesting to me, too, and often these concerns are related and can be adjusted easily with herbs and acupuncture.
I practice Balance Method acupuncture with an emphasis on Master Tung's points, in addition to my TCM training. This allows me to use less needles and treat most cases without the removal of clothing. Combined with gentle stretches or movements this method is extremely effective for pain management.”
