“Jayne is the founder of Integrated Medicine Oahu (i.m.oahu), an Oriental medicine practice specializing in children's and women's health. She is nationally board certified in Oriental medicine, acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Jayne is also the founder and lead practitioner of the acupuncture program at Queen's Cancer Center, Honolulu. This program marks the first time that acupuncture services will be provided as part of a comprehensive cancer care treatment strategy offered by any hospital in the state.
Jayne believes that a practitioner should not simply manage symptoms, but should help patients treat the root causes of their condition. Together with the patient, Jayne investigates the role of all likely causes, including physical, emotional, dietary, environmental, and lifestyle-related factors, and carefully develops an appropriate treatment strategy.
She was a speaker at major pain symposia, most recently, Montefiore Children's Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center, New York and Kapi'olani Women and Children's Medical Center, Hawaii. She is certified by Memorial Sloan Kettering in Cancer Care. She was elected Director, Hawaii Acupuncture Association in 2008.”
