“I have been a professor at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Before this, I spent four years on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Center for Integrative Medicine, in Chicago. In addition to patient care my responsibilities included teaching and leading rounds for Medical students and residents. I also coordinated a research project studying the effectiveness of herbal therapy in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. My education integrated a complete Traditional Chinese Medical curriculum, with Western Medicine, which included the study of biochemistry, clinical psychology, nutrition, lab data analysis, pathology, pharmacology, and applied clinical internal medicine.
A main area of expertise is my practice of herbal medicine. I am committed to providing quality health-care through combining the best of ancient healing methods with the latest medical technology. All treatments are individualized, case by case and treatment to treatment, and then applied with experienced care.
My Philosophy: The healing power of nature: the body has an inherent ability to establish health. Prevention is the best cure. Identify and treat the cause. Do no harm. Treat the whole person, mind-body-spirit. Educate and encourage patients to take responsibility for their health. Emphasizing building health, rather than fighting disease.”
