AcuZen21, Acupuncturist in Sherman Oaks
“Vision is important for you to become well again. Focus and find what you could do to achieve that goal. Once...long time ago...I was a patient waiting long to be seen by doctors. The pain I encountered made me who I am today. In life...in my opinion, pain is not a necessarily a bad thing. It would point out the problematic area in your life and in your body. So, try not to mask the pain. Deal with it and see what you could come out of it.

Calley Williams, Acupuncturist in Los Angeles
“If you've been wanting to try acupuncture but are squeamish around needles, then Japanese acupuncture is a great way to start. The Japanese variety utilizes finer needles - barely thicker than a human hair. Instead of relying on a chart, more emphasis is placed on touch and palpation to find the correct insertion points. We also do front and back treatments to promote balance of the whole body. I understand the importance of spending extra time with my patients so that we all receive the love and care we deserve.

“Are you doing everything right and still not feeling in optimal health? Traditional Asian Medicine (TAM) blended with Clinical Nutrition and Blood Analysis may be the missing link in understanding your body's imbalance. To stay in great health we must always address: Glucose, Adrenal, Bacterial/viral/parasitical issues and Brain Function. An imbalance of these issues keeps your body in a "Compromised" condition. TAM assists the body's ability to balance itself, allowing freedom from pain or mal-ease thereby creating an amazing sense of Well Being that has lasting effects. Allow yourself to heal, call me today.

Acupuncture in Los Angeles County - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Los Angeles County acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into a number of trigger points on your body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
Credentials for Los Angeles County licensed acupuncturists?
A licensed acupuncturist in Los Angeles County needs a minimum of two years college education and must complete three years of professional training and pass the State's approved licensing examination. The three year program includes both theory and hands-on clinical practice. Most States' professional training programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
