I always emphasize to my clients that I consider us to be a team. Acupuncture is not something I do to them, but with them. Every job I have ever had has involved working closely with people, listening to them and observing them. I value the time I get to spend getting to know the whole person and then deciding how to best help them achieve better balance.

I have chosen not to specialize, as I enjoy and have been quite successful in treating a wide variety of issues, from pain, digestive issues and infertility to anxiety, pediatric disorders and allergies. Doing so reminds me that I am treating the person, not their ailment.

My school placed a strong focus on western science as well as acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Though I do not practice western medicine, being fluent in the language of healthcare in the United States has been a great asset in my practice.
