“I have been practicing acupuncture for 22 years now. 6 of them I spent in a rheumatology practice, where I treated a lot of different kinds of arthritis, lupus and fibromyalgia. More recently, I practiced in a community health center for 10 years, treating all kinds of ailments. I am a graduate of the Midwest College in Chicago and nationally board certified in acupuncture (NCCAOM) since 1988.
SINCE I am an acupuncturist, I treat a lot of different pain conditions - backs, shoulders, headaches, etc. I also have strategies to deal with any kind of allergies, mood disorders - including anxiety and depression - diet and weight issues, tobacco, alcohol and drug addictions. Also I treat fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and insomnia.
Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I developed over the years a more comfortable approach to Japanese needling, that is more superficial insertion with very thin needles. Chinese style tends to use thicker needles with deeper insertion. I also tend to use the machine called Pointer Pulse, painless insertion with electricity and laser.”
