As a retired professional ballet dancer, I have dedicated most of my life to the study of movement. I have always been fascinated with the human body and how it works. Once I stopped performing, it seemed only natural that I would gravitate toward a profession in the field of bodywork. Acupuncture was always helpful to me while I was dancing and I felt that practicing this amazing medicine would give me the opportunity to help others in the same way I was helped throughout my career. I am a career healthcare provider with a 23-year Western medical ICU background prior to entering the field of acupuncture/TCM. I went to study abroad in Japan in 1988 and learned acupressure and therapeutic massage techniques. 10 years later, I came to America and went to Dongguk Royal University to study traditional Chinese medicine.
