Dr. Shao has degrees on both Western and Chinese Medicine: a bachelor degree of Western Medicine from Clinical Medicine Department, Harbin Medical University in China in 1996; a Master Degree of Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in USA in 2006. He also obtained a MHA degree ( Master of Health Administration ) from University of New Mexico in May 2022. Through the training of both medicines, Dr. Shao has a unique understanding about healing and health. He is Nationally Certified on Oriental Medicine and is licensed in New Mexico as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Xu earned her Ph. D on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in China and has been practicing Acupuncture and Herbs for years and gained ample clinic experience. Her kind, professional and trustworthy manner help her clients feel secure and comfort; her excellent techniques and treatments has helped hundreds of her clients for various kinds of diseases.

I have been a Doctor of Oriental Medicine for 25+ years. My goal is to work with my patients to help them learn the tools to make lasting change in their lifestyle for a better quality of life. I use many modalities to achieve this such as Acupuncture, Herbs, Nutrition, Yoga. I enjoy helping people and have wanted to be a healer since childhood. We offer many types of Massage Therapy including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Craniasacral Therapy.

I started my acupuncture practice in 1998 after attending acupuncture school in Santa Fe, NM. Since then I have been following Dr. Huo's teachings of qigong, acupuncture and herbs. My patients receive qigong needling acupuncture, herbal treatments and therapeutic exercises. This treatment combination has provided my patients with a very high level of success. I also spend a lot of my personal time training in triathlon which has helped me achieve a very high level of fitness which I have successfully directed towards healing my patients.

As a complementary approach to primary care I practice orthopedic acupuncture, modern medical acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to best address the indivdual needs of each patient. I provide effective natural health care and pain treatment with success and joy, since 1986.

Dealing with pain from an injury or trauma is hard enough. But when you are also not able to perform simple chores at home or play with your child without pain, then frustration and anxiety can set in. The loss of independence, having to ask for a ride to the store, or help with everyday matters leads to further tension and anger. These are all situations that will likely happen to us at some point in our lives. If your pain is left untreated, you will be facing these issues sooner. Any athletic injury is frustrating and untimely. Being unsure how long it will take to return to training can be overwhelming.

I have had great results working with infertility, and can support couples going through IVF with an acupuncture protocol shown to improve success rates. I also treat gynecological disorders such as PMS, painful periods, fibroids, ovarian cysts, menopausal symptoms, and cervical dysplasia. In addition, I treat pain, both acute and chronic, with a combination of traditional acupuncture techniques and a more modern approach of trigger point therapy.
