Dr. Henry Li has over 30 years of clinical practice and biomedical research experience in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He received his M.D. from Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and Ph.D. in Pathology from Medical School of Tohoku University in Japan. He is board certified in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbology by the NCCAOM in the United States, and is a licensed Acupuncturist in Texas.

I have been practicing and teaching acupuncture and oriental medicine for 30 years. I earned both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in China. In the U.S., I started applying my trade at the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2010 and earned my acupuncture license in Texas in 2012.One of the projects in which I participated, the use of acupuncture to prevent dementia, received national and governmental awards. I have also published over 20 research papers on acupuncture and oriental medicine.

My belief is that everyone has enormous capability for self healing. I started the clinic to apply the wisdom of acupuncture and herbal medicine to revitalize the body's ability to reach optimal health. I am a Texas licensed acupuncturist, certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and certified in Auricular Therapy. My MA degree training included Western medicine models which enables me to bridge the Western to Eastern approach to healing. A second generation acupuncturist, Ray Chernly was raised in North Texas and earned his Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. His father chartered acupuncture research for National Defense Medical Center of Taiwan in the 1970's. His mother garnered several post-graduate degrees in Naturopathic Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Oriental Medicine. Together, Ray's parents were instrumental in establishing standards and credentialing in the State of Texas, and part of the first cohort to be licensed by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners under the Texas Medical Board.
