Having trained and practiced as a doctor at the prestigious Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I moved with my family to the U.S. and subsequently studied to be licensed as an R.N. I have worked at Fairfax INOVA Hospital for over 9 years. My mission is to augment the marvels of western medicine with the wisdom and skill of treating the whole body so that its systems and connections work optimally.

The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. As an acupuncturist and herbalist, I completed four years of medical training and graduated with a Masters degree. Claudette Wullert is a Lisenced Acupuncturist in the state of Virginia. She is certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair New Jersey where she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Acupuncture and Kiiko Matsumoto style Japanese acupuncture. She did her internship both at the school clinic and the Veterans Hospital of New Jersey where she worked extensivley with pain disorders, anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Insomnia.

We use an holistic approach to healing, combining the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet and qigong to help patients become and stay healthy. We practice preventive medicine and strongly believe in the old Chinese saying that "the best physician is not the one who treats patients when they become ill, but the one who keeps patients from getting sick in the first place."
