My name is Barbara Paul and through the energy healing practices of Acupuncture, Chinese nutrition and herbs, Tuina (Chinese massage), Shiatsu and Qi Gong, I create a treatment plan that addresses each individual's needs. I treat not only the symptoms, but also the root of the illness, thus restoring balance upon which holistic health is based.

A native of China, Dr. Lu is widely recognized as an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced senior practitioner in the arts of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinese tuina massage for two decades. Formally educated and trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, both in China and the U.S., and with 20 years of teaching, research, and clinical experience in those two countries, Dr. Lu has helped thousands of patients to achieve their goals of living healthy and happier lives.

In my practice, with the blending of Five Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, along with Asian body work, I will strive to bring your being in balance and wellness to your Body and mind. Staying true to the origins of classical Chinese medicine, with its philosophical roots embedded in the ideals of virtue, compassion, and wisdom, my approach to healing is carefully focused on the needs of each individual. This includes moving away from the pathological model of medicine that has plagued the modern healthcare system and turning my attention instead to my patients' optimal health and wellbeing. Having been in practice since 1997, my extensive education and clinical practice has deeply informed my ability to effectively treat each patient.

I first discovered acupuncture while completing my pre-reqs with the intention of attending medical school at UW - I was struggling with migraines that Western Medicine was incapable of helping me with. An Acupuncturist was able to help me live a migraine free life what I couldn't have previously imagined was possible. I simply fell in love with the medicine and altered my course to pursue my Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Fast forward 14 years, I still love the medicine and am thrilled, on a daily basis, on how I am able to help people improve their lives with a natural, holistic approach to their health.

I use holistic approach to bring my patients' health to the most optimal level through acupuncture, Chinese Herbal remedies, dietary and lifestyle changes, cupping, moxibustion and/or massage so that they can take control of their health themselves in the future.

I incorporate my background in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with my knowledge of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. This allows me to combine both Eastern and Western Medicine while giving treatments. I have found that by combining both types of medicine, my patients present with quicker and longer lasting results. I also encourage my patients to ask questions so they too can learn how to improve their way of life by preventative forms of medicine. My practice offers a worry free environment, with friendly staff and the latest in treatment modalities.

Barbara Dennis, RN, L.Ac., BSN, has received her professional certification for acupuncture through the NCCAOM and is a licensed acupuncturist with the state of Washington. She graduated from the Masters program in Chinese Medicine from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Boone, NC. Barbara also has her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1992. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years with a variety of medical experience in critical care, hospice, home health and community nursing.

Edward Chiu, LAc., DAOM, comes from a three generation tradition of Chinese medicine. His grandfather was an herbalist, and his father a medical doctor and acupuncturist. Dr. Chiu was trained in the US and in Asia, where he has done extensive apprenticeships with various master acupuncturists. He has been practicing for ten years and graduated from one of the first accredited doctoral programs in Chinese medicine in the United States. He is on the core faculty at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
