Acupuncture has become a highly popular form of complementary health care because of its relatively low cost and its noninvasive nature. In this gentle form of medicine, I design each treatment uniquely to address imbalance as it is specifically experienced by each individual. Symptoms are viewed in relationship to the totality of a person in order to explore the root cause of an illness or discomfort.

I believe that wellness is empowering. That’s why I founded Cornerstone Healing, a private practice specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Carroll Gardens (Brooklyn, NY). I have nearly two decades of clinical experience and I use my expertise in ethnobotany, herbal medicine, and acupuncture to heal, educate and empower patients in the greater New York City area, the greater North Carolina area, and around the world through Acupuncturists Without Borders and CapraCare.

Dr. Alise Beccaria, DAc, MS L.Ac is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Board certified by the North Carolina Acupuncture Board and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). In addition Alise is a certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance. Alise received her Doctorate in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.
