Frank Maye, Acupuncturist in Miami
“At Maye Holistic Med", we work with a variety of challenges: Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Pain Management, Trauma (emotional or physical), Cancer, Preventative medicine and Emotional Wellbeing. Bio-energetic Ablation, developed by Dr. Maye, is an important adjunct treatment for many conditions. Bio-energetic Ablation helps to remove biophysic blockages, [foci]. The initial cause of Foci are almost always emotional. Foci occur as a result of trauma, which the patient was not fully capable of processing at that moment. The coping mechanism locks into a patient 's neural chemistry. When faced with similar circumstances, repetition of the memory response reoccurs, creating similar foci.

Patricia Kinsley, Acupuncturist in Miami

Acupuncturist, AP, DOM, Dipl, OM
“"I strongly believe in an integrated approach to healing which treats the whole body... physically, mentally, and emotionally." Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine work by addressing the root cause of illness, not just the symptoms. The goal is to return the body to a state of balance and provide strength and support to prevent future illness and disease. The World Health Organization recognizes over 50 common illnesses treated effectively with acupuncture. I have had great success in treating many of these conditions including anxiety, depression, digestive trouble, back and neck pain, menopause, headaches, insomnia, and arthritis just to mention a few.

Acupuncture in Miami - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Miami acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into a number of trigger points on your body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
Credentials for Miami licensed acupuncturists?
A licensed acupuncturist in Miami needs a minimum of two years college education and must complete three years of professional training and pass the State's approved licensing examination. The three year program includes both theory and hands-on clinical practice. Most States' professional training programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
