“I see people of all ages for both "simple" and very complex issues. Pain, digestive concerns and stress/anxiety are frequently chief complaints. The first visit is at least two hours long. We will address all aspects of your health from many perspectives. You will receive an acupuncture treatment (if you wish) and there will be written recommendations at the end. The goal is always that you will have an increased sense of wellbeing and an improvement in your overall health as well as experience a significant improvement in whatever it is that brought you to your initial appointment.

“Did you know that acupuncture isn't just for pain relief? We help with many internal health issues, as well as speed healing of injuries and surgery. Call us to plan ahead for better surgical healing, or as soon as an injury occurs. Chinese medicine has been shown over and over to be effective for many common health issues, but it is even better as a preventative measure.
“Where do you find yourself today on the spectrum of health? Are you an athelete looking for that something extra, a chronic sufferer of pain, perhaps having to take a number of medications, or are you craving a good nights sleep? We are all in a constant state of flux. Through careful observation using pulse and tongue diagnosis I am able to identify where your imbalance lies. Gently manipulating the needles puts the focus back on you the patient and your own body starts to do what comes naturally...it begins healing it's self.

Acupuncture in South Carolina (SC) - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. South Carolina (SC) acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.
Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into a number of trigger points on your body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.
'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
Credentials for South Carolina (SC) licensed acupuncturists?
A licensed acupuncturist in South Carolina (SC) needs a minimum of two years college education and must complete three years of professional training and pass the State's approved licensing examination. The three year program includes both theory and hands-on clinical practice. Most States' professional training programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
