I am NCCAOM board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, practicing in Tucson for 29 years. I enjoy treating people who want to learn about their health and I consider my role as a teacher to be crucial. I treat a variety of ailments, and you can inquire to find out what my experience is with a condition. I specialize in treating pain, an area for which acupuncture has a well deserved reputation for excellence. I am a pragmatic, results-oriented practitioner and respect the client's need for tangible improvements.
After nearly 3 decades in practice I have found treatment modalities that I really like. I do manual therapy using Pain Neutralization methods taught by Stephen Kaufman, DC. I use German Auricular (ear) acupuncture to explore and rectify deeper aspects of pain syndromes. I generally use a distal acupuncture approach as taught by Richard Tan, and Master Tong
I am a registered nurse, and I am able to understand Western medicine theories of disease and treatment. I appreciate the strengths of Western medicine. At times blending the best of Western and Chinese medicine brings the best results.
