My practice style begins with a deep listening as a new patient describes their reason for coming in. Most conditions are some combination of physical and emotional imbalance which then manifest at the symptom level. Unraveling the underlying imbalance is the key to a long term resolution of the symptoms. Treatment may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, diet and lifestyle changes. I also like to teach patients about Chinese medicine, and their body's energetic systems through discussion and demonstration during their sessions.
My treatment style is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian acupuncture with physical medicine type acupuncture (motor point and trigger point acupuncture) when appropriate. I also use cupping, massage, and topical liniments as needed.
From 2010 to the present I've been studying Alchemical Acupuncture for spiritual transformation with Lorie Dechar and Benjamin Fox.
