I have been in Chinese Medical Practice since 1986 after graduating from California Acupuncture College. I then enrolled in the Doctorate program at Samra Univ. of Oriental Medicine and received my credential in August 1988. I was licensed by the NCAA until 2007 and participated in their testing & licensing program. In 1996, I had the pleasure of being part of a group to study acupuncture in a hospital setting at the XiYuan Hospital of PRC and attend the 2nd International Symposium on Medical Qi Gong. The group was present for the opening ceremonies of the first government sponsored Medical Qi Gong Academy where we also underwent a rigorous course of training. In January 2006 I completed the Acupuncture Orthopedics course given by Lerner Education and received my credential to become a Diplomate of Acupuncture Orthopedics (NBAO).

As the owner of Elixir Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Center, I have two specializations as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine: Healthy Aging and Women's Health & Fertility. I manage a patient's health care by diagnosing and treating various pain disorders from simple to complex and providing appropriate acupuncture therapies to help alleviate pain and symptoms. Dr. Lucy Cooper, LAc, OMD, DAOM,MS is a Diplomate in Anti aging Medicine in Northridge California. She is focused mainly on helping the middle aged population to restore youthful biological age through detoxification, nutrition and life style changes. She helps restore energy, reduce stress and increase well being. Dr. Cooper uses multiple ways of testing the human body: via a computer bio screen; urine biological terrain test; (in her office) and also functional blood tests (via lab).
