I have been practicing acupuncture for 33 years. I trained in China at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical School, Department of Neurology. I have also done advanced training in Classical Homeopathy at the Bengal Allen Medical Institute, Calcutta, India. I have continued to hone my skills through extensive postgraduate education. I received my medical degree (MD) in 2015 from the University of Science, Arts, and Technology, Montserrat, BWI. The focus of my practice is internal medicine, with a specialty in women's health. However, acupuncture and herbal therapies successfully treat a wide variety of symptoms and illnesses, all of which are fundamental imbalances at their core. I use a combination of traditional acupuncture (to balance "vital energy") in conjunction with Western herbs and nutrition. I prefer Western herbs (vs. Chinese) for several reasons, not the least of which is quality control.
