For 10 years, I worked at the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in Asheville, NC, the largest Chinese Medicine group practice in the Southeast. I regularly treated difficult conditions, such as Meniere's disease, migraines and asthma. I use herbal medicine, cupping, dietary support, tui na (Chinese massage), and other modalities that are an integral part of Chinese medicine. My office is located near the intersection of Haywood and E North ST.

We are all in a constant state of flux. Through careful observation using pulse and tongue diagnosis I am able to identify where your imbalance lies. Gently manipulating the needles puts the focus back on you the patient and your own body starts to do what comes naturally...it begins healing it's self.

I see people of all ages for both "simple" and very complex issues. Pain, digestive concerns and stress/anxiety are frequently chief complaints. The first visit is at least two hours long. We will address all aspects of your health from many perspectives. You will receive an acupuncture treatment (if you wish) and there will be written recommendations at the end. The goal is always that you will have an increased sense of wellbeing and an improvement in your overall health as well as experience a significant improvement in whatever it is that brought you to your initial appointment.

Dr. Yifan liu has been a practitioner since he graduated from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in 1990. After eleven years of training in both Chinese and Western medicine, he obtained his Ph.D. in TCM from Tianjin University of TCM in 1999. He also has a Diploma of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners of Georgia. He worked at the AAAOM in MN from 2009 to 2014, when he moved to Savannah, GA.

I have twenty two years of experience in private practice and have ten years of teaching experience at Daoist Traditions, Asheville and the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Houston, Texas. I have had the privilege to be credentialed to work as an acupuncturist in three hospitals in Houston Texas: M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Hermann S.W. Hospital and M-Health Rehabilitation. Additionally, I practiced at the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in Asheville for eight years and currently am a senior practitioner at the Alternative Clinic in Asheville and Tryon N.C.
