I have nearly two decades of clinical experience and I use my expertise in ethnobotany, herbal medicine, and acupuncture to heal, educate and empower patients in the greater New York City area, the greater North Carolina area, and around the world through Acupuncturists Without Borders and CapraCare.

I am a co-owner and creator of Cornerstone Healing, a private Acupuncture practice located in Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn, NY. Cornerstone Healing has been in practice since 2003. Cornerstone Healing's practice is dedicated to the well being of individual patients and the community as a whole. I incorporate different modalities into my treatment plan. It can include Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and Bodywork. Sometimes electro-stimulation will be used as well as cupping therapy. I treat a wide variety of disorders such as Musculoskeletal problems, Women's health issues, and Infertility. I believe communication and education is key to success of any treatment.

David Li is a New York State licensed acupuncturist and Board-certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology with over 25 years clinical and teaching experience. Specialize in all kinds of pain problems. David Li graduated from Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of three top Chinese medical schools in China. David Li practiced in China at the Taishan City Hospital of TCM for 5 years in orthopedic surgery and pain management. He worked in Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City as certified surgical technologist for four years. David Li also taught acupuncture in the American International Acupuncture Institute.

Over 21 years of clinical experience providing various styles of acupuncture, including Esoteric acupuncture, Balance Method Acupuncture, German Auricular Acupuncture, AcuNova Acupuncture, Yamomoto Scalp Acupuncture and other styles as well as Chinese herbs, aromatherapy for acute and chronic conditions. During each acupuncture session, few drops of 100% pure grade essential oils are applied on acupuncture points depending on a condition. Using thinner needles, extremely gentle needle techniques and moxa, close attention is paid to precise location of acupuncture points and patient feedback is critical in guiding the treatment. Sessions will not be rushed and every effort will be made to assure you feel comfortable. I treat one patient at a time. Sessions are 90 minutes +.
