Insurance plans that include chiropractic care and acupuncture will usually cover acupuncture treatment provided by a chiropractor. I have been practicing since 1997 throughout the greater Chicagoland area at a number of different locations, including: Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN), Total Athleticare inside Bally Total Fitness Center, and at the Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
“Drop a pebble into a pond and you see ripples. The effects of acupuncture are just as immediately felt. The medicine I offer is 'rooted in the Spirit': the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects are always taken into consideration in understanding and treating a disease. Complex and difficult conditions become treatable when we understand that they are not rigid entities, but stages of transformation. Whether the problem is migraines, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, low back pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, addiction, low energy, infertility, hair loss, even immune and degenerative disorders, understanding the disease process points the way to cure.
“In my 6 years of practice, I have developed a richer and more powerful understanding of Chinese Medicine and its profound impact on the human mind, body, and spirit. I have done extensive continuing education in Women's Health, Fertility, Gynecology, Pregnancy, and Childbirth, and am passionate about giving patients options to support their personal choices for health and wellness. I believe in building strong relationships with my patients and see myself as an advocate who can bridge the gaps between Western and Eastern treatment modalities.
“I have been working as a healer for 20 years, practicing Chinese Medicine and Massage. Part of what I have enjoyed most about Chinese Medicine is that it has taught me to see the complexity of each patient. I have a strong background in the physical arts, having studied Structural Therapy and Massage, I have an excellent ability to see when a problem needs to be addressed through postural or structural issues. I also believe strongly in and teach the importance of simple, healthy eating. Being a healer requires intuition and commonsense and I believe I bring both in balance.

“I was educated as a M.D and practiced Medicine in China. I first received training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture during medical school and has since accumulated more than 30-yr experience. Acupuncture is not almighty, but can cure many medical conditions which Western medicine cannot. Combination of both educations I had makes me to see it more clean and help me to treat my patients more effectively. I love my patients, am honest to them and do my bast to help them.
“To me, healing is so much more than an academic approach telling me where to put the needles when treating a patient. My goal is to listen with my ears, mind, heart, and intuition to discover what your body and spirit need. I incorporate energy healing into my treatments to address the spiritual imbalances that contribute to physical symptoms. I make every effort to feed and deepen my own spiritual practice so that I might serve you better. I am honored to support you in your journey to wellness!

Despite having made these areas my specialties and passion projects for myself, I am able to help with a wide variety of conditions. Please know that no matter the reason that you come to see me, I will listen with an open heart and mind.
“My personal philosophy to healthcare is reflected in an integrative approach. With traditional East Asian Medicine as a foundation I also look at diet, exercise, lifestyle, meditation, and mental health. We work together to map out the best plan, then the journey to health and happiness unfolds.
“"I want to share the success and blessings that I have received by discovering this form of medicine. I see any symptom as a message, what we do with that message is up to us. There may be no 'magic bullet', no treatment, herb or drug that can completely eradicate your condition. No matter how severe your condition, you have an opportunity to change the course of your disease."

Acupuncture in Chicago - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. Chicago acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.
Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into a number of trigger points on your body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.
'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
