In my practice I strive to awaken the physician within each patient. To that end I emphasize the importance of daily self-maintenance in a way that takes into account individual limitations and experiences. The focus of each treatment is on correcting imbalances that contribute to the symptoms that the patient is experiencing. The overall goal of continuing treatments is to help each individual recognize how daily experiences can have a negative and/or positive impact on the balance of their health. With experience learning in environments such as teaching hospitals in China, to the VA Hospital in New Haven, my education is steeped with both tradition and innovation. As an avid yoga practitioner and teacher, I have experienced first-hand how important the connection between body and mind can be. I feel grateful to have found a career that I am passionate about and medicine a truly believe in. I received my bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston MA and my Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine From the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale FL in 2007. I use tongue and pulse diagnosis as well as a complete medical intake during the first consultation to get to the root cause of the illness.

Many patients are surprised (and some are relieved!) to know that I specialize in acupuncture without needles. Instead of needles, I use AcuLaser (laser light) to stimulate acupuncture points. Patients find these treatments to be relaxing and effective. Meanwhile, a growing body of clinical and scientific evidence is validating this modern modality when used in the context of the acupuncture meridian system, a framework developed thousands of years ago.

I studied and trained in Acupuncture and classic Chinese Medicine both in United State and in China. I completed a Doctoral Degree of Medicine in the specialty of Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Tuina, and studied under a number of renowned Chinese medicine masters. I have lots clinical experience in both China, where there is a high volume of patients, and in the United States. My ongoing study covers frontier techniques. For example, Acupuncture spirit: it is pulse-regulating acupuncture technique from Ling Shu. By changing pulse, it balances and regulates Qi to gain the strongest result from mildest stimulation by smaller and fewer needles.

Acupuncture is the art and science of correcting imbalances or disharmonies in the body and mind by balancing the body’s physical and energetic factors, and promoting the free flow of Qi and blood.
