Dr. Sommerville, founder of Holistic Health Rhode Island, received her degree from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest graduate school for the study of East Asian Medicine (EAM) in the United States. She is licensed to practice EAM in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island and earned the credential of Diplomate of Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

S. Erin Baldt, DAc, received her training from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM and is board certified by the National Certification Committee for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is vice president of the RI Society of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her internships have included: oncology, women's health, and spinal pain. She has staff privileges at Roger Williams Med, Ctr, and has a professional affiliation with the N.E, Anesthesiology Pain Management Ctr. She is on staff at The Miriam Hospital - specializing in the care of Oncology/Hematology patients. Dr. Baldt is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.

I was trained in Beijing Advanced Medical School and have over eighty years of acupuncture treatment experience in the US and eight years in China. I specialize in fertility / infertility acupuncture, pain management acupuncture and stress disorders, but my practice is multi-fold and I work with far more than just that. I work with my patients from a holistic perspective, in which we look at diet, lifestyle and all else that can influence health.
