Hello, My name is Yoonyoung and I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is based on the idea that a patient’s pain or illness is caused by interruption to the flow of Qi (one’s life energy) in the body. Acupuncture identifies the specific points on the body that corresponds to the condition (acupuncture points) and uses special needles to stimulate those points so that the patient can regain the healthy flow of Qi. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I view any illness in the context of the whole person. My treatment goes beyond the obvious symptom to the root cause of the illness.

As a third generation practitioner, I have followed the traditions of Oriental Medicine set by my father and his father before him. I have been in this field for over 20 years and have performed over 100,000 treatments. Although I address all types of ailments, my specialty is in pain management and natural wellness. Patients with any kind of chronic or acute pain that was unable to find any relief have been successfully treated, often to their amazement.

I would like people to know the wide scope of problems that Oriental medicine can treat. Many people know that it treats body pain. I can also treat general disorders such as infertility, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, over weight, stroke and allergy, many more. As an RN and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, my passion is combining my knowledge of western medicine with my extensive training in Eastern Medicine to offer my patients a truly integrative approach to health.
