Hello, My name is Yoonyoung and I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is based on the idea that a patient’s pain or illness is caused by interruption to the flow of Qi (one’s life energy) in the body. Acupuncture identifies the specific points on the body that corresponds to the condition (acupuncture points) and uses special needles to stimulate those points so that the patient can regain the healthy flow of Qi. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I view any illness in the context of the whole person. My treatment goes beyond the obvious symptom to the root cause of the illness.

Our goal is to relieve, reduce, or manage pain and improve a patient's overall quality of life through minimally invasive techniques specifically designed to diagnose and treat painful conditions. As a third generation practitioner, I have followed the traditions of Oriental Medicine set by my father and his father before him. I have been in this field for over 20 years and have performed over 100,000 treatments. Although I address all types of ailments, my specialty is in pain management and natural wellness. Patients with any kind of chronic or acute pain that was unable to find any relief have been successfully treated, often to their amazement.

Over 21 years of clinical experience providing various styles of acupuncture, including Esoteric acupuncture, Balance Method Acupuncture, German Auricular Acupuncture, AcuNova Acupuncture, Yamomoto Scalp Acupuncture and other styles as well as Chinese herbs, aromatherapy for acute and chronic conditions. During each acupuncture session, few drops of 100% pure grade essential oils are applied on acupuncture points depending on a condition. The unique efficacy of essential oils strengthens acupuncture treatment, providing total relaxation and rejuvenation felt immediately after the treatment.

As an RN and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, my passion is combining my knowledge of western medicine with my extensive training in Eastern Medicine to offer my patients a truly integrative approach to health.
