With this knowledge, Laura is able to combine both Eastern and Western views to create a treatment approach that is unique to each individual.

I have held the position of Head of Accupuncture Department at two teaching universities in China. In Philadelphia, I briefly worked at the University of Pennsylvania, Children's Hospital. Dr. Kim Cherry is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania in both acupuncture and nutrition. "When I was experiencing a lot of pain 20 years ago, I found relief with acupuncture. That experience sparked a life long interest in acupuncture and pain management. I have studied many styles of acupuncture and specialize in pain alleviation. I can also help with chronic conditions such as IBS, stress disorders and women's health issues".

Dr. Minchun Chen, a licensed oriental medical practitioner certified by NCCAOM, currently practices acupuncture and herbal medicine at her private practice. She is a professor at the Won Institute, which has the only Master's Degree program for acupuncture in Pennsylvania. Dr. Chen graduated from Nanjing Medical University with an MD degree in 1982. In China, she worked as an internist and endocrinologist for 8 years. Continuing her studies in Germany, she earned a PhD (1994) exploring disease-causing genes for Graves disease and Diabetes at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. She learned acupuncture and herbology from national-renown doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
