I received my education and training in Traditional Chinese Medicine(MD), in China, Liaoning Province. My post-graduate master studies included work at Chengdu University, Sichuan Province. I have held the position of Head of Accupuncture Department at two teaching universities in China. In Philadelphia, I briefly worked at the University of Pennsylvania, Children's Hospital. Dr. Weiping Wang graduated from a medical school and got her CMD degree in China in 1984. She also studied acupuncture and Chinese medicine while she was practicing medicine as an Ob/Gyn doctor for seven years. Now, Weiping is a national board certified and a PA licensed Acupuncturist. She has been working in an infertility clinic since 1995 and practicing in a pain management clinic as a part-time acupuncturist for 6 years. As a medical doctor and an acupuncturist trained in China, she brings 22 year experiences to her acupuncture clinic practice.

Whenever possible, I believe in choosing a natural path to health and I emphasize the same for my patients. I find that acupuncture and homeopathy are powerful modalities in restoring the physiological and energetic balance in the body. I view illness and pain as an injury to one's vital force (Qi, life energy). Rather than reactively attack the disease or injury, my approach to acupuncture is to restore health and balance in the vital force, which in turn allows the body to heal itself.

Laura earned a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and completed the Chinese Herbal Medicine Program from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. She meets all standards outlined by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). With this knowledge, Laura is able to combine both Eastern and Western views to create a treatment approach that is unique to each individual.
