I have been in the health field for over 35 years.A Practicing Acupuncturist for 28 years in Encinitas. The high level of success and satisfaction I have had in the last 18 years practicing Classical 5 element Acupuncture has re-inspired my practice. Fertility Acupuncture is one of my top specialties , as well as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Combining these two modalities gives me more treatment options. I have added FUNCTIONAL BLOOD CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS to pinpoint undiagnosed thyroid issues and to help support brain health. Desiree Sterling received her Master's of Science from Pacific College of Oriental medicine (PCOM) in San Diego in 2005. She graduated from the Norwegian College of Acupuncture in 2002 and has also had formal training in Physical Therapy from Oslo, Norway. She has treated collegiate athletes at the RIMAC sports facility at UCSD in San Diego. Some of her training includes functional endocrinology, functional blood chemistry, and neuro-endocrine-immune problems. She provides treatments for endocrine and hormonal disorders related to infertility, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, decreased immunity, hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, diabetes, thyroid and adrenal issues as well as cardiovascular conditions.

She is graduated from South Baylo University and received a Ph.D Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She uses RSN acupuncture method (for Nerve Entrapment Syndrome) and Dry Needling as well as traditional acupuncture technique to provide integrative care for her patients. She attended a special course of Anatomy in Koonming, China and also studied in Korea with Dr. Myung Seok Ryu, president of the RSN Acupuncture Association. She also has a certificate for completing the course of studying prescribed by the Pulse Regulating Acupuncture.

I have over 38 years experience as a health care practitioner in the United States and China. I graduated from Shandong Medical University in China. And began medical career as a physician at Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine University Dong Zhi Men Hospital. Since 2000 I have focused on Eastern medicine nature healings. That healing is the state of balance of Yin and Yang within the body. It is the vital energy known as "Self Healing Power". I have put a lots effort to help patients to get this power and heal themselves.
