I am a practitioner of traditional Japanese acupuncture and have studied extensively with master acupuncturist Koji Ichihashi of the Kurumadani School of Japan. Japanese acupuncture technique involves shallow insertion of very thin, delicate needles into points along the Meridians of the body. It is a relaxing spa-like treatment that is gentle and essentially pain free. This style incorporates medical Shiatsu massage while the needles are in the body. I give my patients self-care education, Qigong (energy movement), nutritional counseling and suggest Chinese herbal therapies and/or supplements in a nurturing environment.

I'm Dr. Brian Oh, the owner and operator of Newport Acupuncture Center. I grew up in S. Korea as part of a family that was heavily steeped in the traditions and practices of acupuncture. In 2003, I graduated from South Baylo University with a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I became CA Board Acupuncturist. And studied more and worked in Chang Chung University in China. I earned PhD in Oriental Medicine from ALU. Finally I was ready, and I've been practicing holistic medicine ever since. Wei-Chen obtained his Master degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles; he also holds a PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist. Together with Huang, Wei-Chen co-founded the PV Acupuncture Clinic. His specializes in Pain Management, Sports Injuries and the management of fatigue with traditional Chinese medicine. Wei-Chen is also actively involved in promoting traditional Chinese Medicine in the community and has taken part in several health fairs events.

As a board licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, I specialize in pain and stress management. Oliver's journey into healing arts began in 1982. As a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine who specializes in Traumatology (Ditda-Shangke), he received extensive apprenticeship training in the States, Hong Kong, and Beijing under several reputable first-generation physicians, esoteric healers of Eastern medicine, and venerable masters of traditional martial arts since childhood. Oliver also served as a clinical intern and mentored at various facilities including American Institute of Acupuncture Orthopedics & Traumatology, California Pacific Medical Center, and Yueyang Hospital of Integrative Medicine in Shanghai, China.

I have been in Chinese Medical Practice since 1986 after graduating from California Acupuncture College. I then enrolled in the Doctorate program at Samra Univ. of Oriental Medicine and received my credential in August 1988. I was licensed by the NCAA until 2007 and participated in their testing & licensing program. In 1996, I had the pleasure of being part of a group to study acupuncture in a hospital setting at the XiYuan Hospital of PRC and attend the 2nd International Symposium on Medical Qi Gong. The group was present for the opening ceremonies of the first government sponsored Medical Qi Gong Academy where we also underwent a rigorous course of training. In January 2006 I completed the Acupuncture Orthopedics course given by Lerner Education and received my credential to become a Diplomate of Acupuncture Orthopedics (NBAO).

In my practice I offer a unique application of the classical aspects of Chinese Medicine. In Chinese Medicine, there is no separation between mind, body, or spirit. The Shen, or Spirit, is the animating force behind and within every physiological function.
