Yifan Feng did his undergraduate study at UCLA, prior to pursuing studying medicine at Touro University. Intrigued by the opportunity of Oriental Medicine and Eastern Medicine, he pursued studying Oriental Medicine at Dongguk University of Los Angeles. He graduated at top 1% of his class with Summa Cum Laude Honor. I have been in Chinese Medical Practice since 1986 after graduating from California Acupuncture College. I then enrolled in the Doctorate program at Samra Univ. of Oriental Medicine and received my credential in August 1988. I was licensed by the NCAA until 2007 and participated in their testing & licensing program. In 1996, I had the pleasure of being part of a group to study acupuncture in a hospital setting at the XiYuan Hospital of PRC and attend the 2nd International Symposium on Medical Qi Gong. The group was present for the opening ceremonies of the first government sponsored Medical Qi Gong Academy where we also underwent a rigorous course of training. In January 2006 I completed the Acupuncture Orthopedics course given by Lerner Education and received my credential to become a Diplomate of Acupuncture Orthopedics (NBAO).

I am a practitioner of traditional Japanese acupuncture and have studied extensively with master acupuncturist Koji Ichihashi of the Kurumadani School of Japan. Japanese acupuncture technique involves shallow insertion of very thin, delicate needles into points along the Meridians of the body. It is a relaxing spa-like treatment that is gentle and essentially pain free. This style incorporates medical Shiatsu massage while the needles are in the body. I give my patients self-care education, Qigong (energy movement), nutritional counseling and suggest Chinese herbal therapies and/or supplements in a nurturing environment.
