Xingcong Ren, L.Ac. O.M.D. (China), is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese herbology (NCCAOM) and a licensed Acupuncturist in the States of Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. She is a renowned and highly respected expert in her field with over 37 years of experience, having graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the leading institution of its kind in the world, in 1982 with training in both Chinese Traditional and Western medicine. Before coming to the US, she was an attending and chief physician in a teaching hospital in Shanghai for a decade, practicing both acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Specializing in holistic women’s health, fertility, and wellness, Dr. Virginia Mims is the only board certified fertility acupuncturist (FABORM) in the Lexington area. Serving women of all ages, she is also a certified menopause practitioner. “Whether you need helping getting pregnant, dealing with painful periods, reducing hot flashes, or managing other symptoms, I am passionate about helping women feel better, naturally. I work with patients from an individualized perspective, and in addition to acupuncture, utilize nutrition, lifestyle and herbal approaches. There is a strong focus on educating the patient in self-help methods. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and take an active role in their therapy program. I like to give my patients the "fishing pole" and not just the fish! My practice is not an acupuncture factory. I spend at least 45 minutes to over an hour with each patient and take the time to listen, really listen.
