As someone with chronic pain who has been on both sides of the table, I have a unique viewpoint on what patients need. I believe that both western medicine and acupuncture have their place in society; neither is "better" than the other. Instead, they work best when used together as part of an overall health plan. My goal is to make acupuncture an easy, sensible part of my patient's lives. I work hard to tailor treatments to each individual so that all of my patients are comfortable with their level of therapy.

"As a traditional naturopath and acupuncturist my practice is multifold. I work with patients from an individualized perspective, and in addition to acupuncture, utilize nutrition, lifestyle and herbal approaches. There is a strong focus on educating the patient in self-help methods. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and take an active role in their therapy program. I like to give my patients the "fishing pole" and not just the fish! My practice is not an acupuncture factory. I spend at least 45 minutes to over an hour with each patient and take the time to listen, really listen.

I work with a wide range of health conditions such as Lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, digestive disorders, allergies, gynecological disorders, anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic fatigue, obesity, etc. I received my master degree on acupuncture at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is a very top school in China and has been practicing acupuncture for more than ten years. I had been supervised by many well-known acupuncture doctors in China during my eight-year training at the top Chinese acupuncture institutes.

I was trained at Zhejiang Traditional Medical College and Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medical University in China. After I received my Chinese medical degree in 1985 and MS degree in 1988, I worked as an Assistant Professor and Professor at the Medical College of Wenzhou, P.R. of China. After I received my Ph.D from Kanazawa Medical University, Japan, I engaged in both high quality medical research and clinical work in traditional Chinese medicine. Upon completion of my degree, I decided to continue my research in pulmonary biology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

My goal of acupuncture practice is to help patients recover health and normal functionality as soon as possible with natural way. I think health doesn't just mean lack of disease, but state of well-being. I treat my patients with sympathy and passion. I research and study for the best and most efficient way to treat conditions of my patients. I have offices in Nashville, Clarksville, and Bowling Green, KY.
