I've seen the strengths and weaknesses of modern medicine firsthand as a Medic and Critical Care Nurse over 23 years. I have twenty two years of experience in private practice and have ten years of teaching experience at Daoist Traditions, Asheville and the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Houston, Texas. I have had the privilege to be credentialed to work as an acupuncturist in three hospitals in Houston Texas: M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Hermann S.W. Hospital and M-Health Rehabilitation. Additionally, I practiced at the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in Asheville for eight years and currently am a senior practitioner at the Alternative Clinic in Asheville and Tryon N.C.

Todd George is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. He received a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College (MSOM) in 2005, and he has completed postgraduate clinical training in hospitals in Beijing, China. Todd was the first acupuncturist in North Carolina to complete the dry needling program of the Janet G. Travell, MD Seminar Series with Myopain Seminars, and he is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT). He is also certified in neuroacupuncture, scalp acupuncture and electroacupuncture.

Smart healthcare and results are my passion! Using a body constitution approach, I tailor treatments for nerve and joint pain, gastrointestinal and auto-immune disorders. Knowing your particular body constitution is vital since your treatment could be completely different from someone else even if you have the exact same symptoms and diagnosis. What you eat is also very important so you know how to maintain the treatments you receive from me. As part of my care, every patient receives comprehensive dietary and lifestyle activities counseling.

For 10 years, I worked at the Chinese Acupuncture and Herbology Clinic in Asheville, NC, the largest Chinese Medicine group practice in the Southeast. I regularly treated difficult conditions, such as Meniere's disease, migraines and asthma. I use herbal medicine, cupping, dietary support, tui na (Chinese massage), and other modalities that are an integral part of Chinese medicine. My office is located near the intersection of Haywood and E North ST.
