Meirong Wang LAc graduated from China's Chengdu University of TCM in 1991 with a Bachelor in Medicine degree. She has more than 20 years of clinical practice in Acupuncture and Moxibustion as well as Chinese herbal medicine. She is now concurrently teaching acupuncture and supervising clinical work at South Baylo (Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) University VA Campus as well as practicing in NOVA Acupuncture & Moxibustion Clinic.

I enjoy caring for the well-being of my patients. I have been cited twice in Washingtonian Magazine as "amongst one of the most highly regarded practitioners in his field." I have provided practical, holistic, integrative services in acupuncture, body therapy, life/wellness coaching, Chinese herbal medicine, and counseling since the 1980s. My background also includes stress management, medical Qigong, meditation, nutrition, and exercise. I bring breadth and depth to my practice, offering comprehensive and integrative approaches to whole being wellness, treating a broad range of conditions. I also teach skills that enhance the healing process and inner resources for successful life management.

We use an holistic approach to healing, combining the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet and qigong to help patients become and stay healthy. We practice preventive medicine and strongly believe in the old Chinese saying that "the best physician is not the one who treats patients when they become ill, but the one who keeps patients from getting sick in the first place." We use not only traditional methods to diagnose the root causes of a patient's problem, but also the lastest tools in computerized testing and analysis.

I follow five elements theory and body constitutional acupuncture. This means, I use very fine needle and safe and less acupuncture points, most of the points are on arms and legs and painless. My cilinc is located at'central park' near to verizon store in Fredericksburg.

I am able to help a variety of conditions in the skeletal, muscular, intigumentary, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, respiratory, digestive, emotional & psychological, cardiovascular, lymphatic and immune disorders. I also work with patients on weight loss and addictions, as well as different side effects, dizziness and vertigo.

My primary goal is to provide patients with acupuncture therapy that gets effective results as quickly as possible. I am passionate about providing a friendly, affordable service that is painless and relaxing. I deeply enjoy building relationships with my patients and seeing them go to a state of being that is free from illness/pain.

Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites--commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Pressure, heat, or electrical stimulation may further enhance the effects. Other acupoint stimulation techniques include: manual massage, moxibustion or heat therapy, cupping, and the application of topical herbal medicines and linaments.

As an acupuncturist and herbalist, I completed four years of medical training and graduated with a Masters degree. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique and she is state-licensed as a Licensed Acupuncturist in VA,

I like to combine acupuncture, Chinese herbs with lifestyle changes to help you achieve overall wellness. I received a Masters of Oriental Medicine by the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, achieved a certification in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM and am currently a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Virginia.
