As a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine I use subtle information from the body to promote healing. I enjoy using visceral manipulation, cranial sacral, ashiatsu massage, cupping, and moxibustion to address musculoskeletal pain, psychoemotional issues such as insomnia and addiction, and improving digestion. I provide the body with subtle information so that the body's own life force can be strengthened. I chose the name Joy Point Acupuncture, because good medicine should put people at ease and on a path towards well being. Every breath, every movement and every point should bring us closer to our joy and bliss.

I use holistic approach to bring my patients' health to the most optimal level through acupuncture, Chinese Herbal remedies, dietary and lifestyle changes, cupping, moxibustion and/or massage so that they can take control of their health themselves in the future.

Lee Huang M.S.,L.Ac was a physician (eye surgeon) in China. She specializes in treating degenerative eye diseases, pain management and women's health conditions. Her grandmother's stroke recovery through acupuncture treatment inspired her learning in acupuncture. Her mission is to provide the body's own natural healing abilities to restore optimal health.

As a practitioner of East Asian medicine, my goal is to provide evidence/research-based treatment to those who would need physical and mental relief, so that they can have an active lifestyle. I am very passionate about helping others by embracing acupuncture and other components of East Asian medicine. My name is Barbara Paul and through the energy healing practices of Acupuncture, Chinese nutrition and herbs, Tuina (Chinese massage), Shiatsu and Qi Gong, I create a treatment plan that addresses each individual's needs. Edward Chiu, LAc., DAOM, comes from a three generation tradition of Chinese medicine. His grandfather was an herbalist, and his father a medical doctor and acupuncturist. Dr. Chiu was trained in the US and in Asia, where he has done extensive apprenticeships with various master acupuncturists. He has been practicing for ten years and graduated from one of the first accredited doctoral programs in Chinese medicine in the United States. He is on the core faculty at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

I incorporate my background in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with my knowledge of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. This allows me to combine both Eastern and Western Medicine while giving treatments. I have found that by combining both types of medicine, my patients present with quicker and longer lasting results. I also encourage my patients to ask questions so they too can learn how to improve their way of life by preventative forms of medicine. I simply fell in love with the medicine and altered my course to pursue my Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Fast forward 14 years, I still love the medicine and am thrilled, on a daily basis, on how I am able to help people improve their lives with a natural, holistic approach to their health.
