I practice the gentle Japanese stye of acupuncture and I have trained in Tokyo, Japan in both 2006 and 2007. I have 15 years of experience in the field of acupuncture and I specialize in the treatment of chronic pain and injury rehabilitation, especially back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and foot and ankle pain and headaches. I have also had great success in treating women's health issues, particularly PMS, cramping, infertility, prenatal care and menopause.

By work with the energy chang in nature, restore our body's healing power, correct and prevent inbalance of energy flow within is the main focus of my practice.

I am a down-to-earth (but still-above-the-ground) acupuncturist with a good sense of humor, hair color that's always changing, and a deep interest in my patients' lives. Edward Chiu, LAc., DAOM, comes from a three generation tradition of Chinese medicine. His grandfather was an herbalist, and his father a medical doctor and acupuncturist. Dr. Chiu was trained in the US and in Asia, where he has done extensive apprenticeships with various master acupuncturists. He has been practicing for ten years and graduated from one of the first accredited doctoral programs in Chinese medicine in the United States. He is on the core faculty at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
